In a future where humans, technology, and black metal converge, a powerful species known as "shadow cyborgs" is born. The government sanctions the creation of shadow security forces (S.E.F) in every sector, all controlled by the Central Headquarters in Century City. However, this utopia is disrupted when the Headquarters is attacked by a rogue Dark Clan. CORE, a seasoned cyborg soldier, discovers the plot too late, and the Lord Commander of S.E.F is hacked, leading to the slaughter of his soldiers and their replacement by a new generation of shadow cyborgs bent on seizing government control.

After the attack, CORE joins the rebellion, seeking vengeance for his fallen comrades and the destruction of the Dark Clan.
