Your objective is to rebuild society from the ground up, collaborating with other players across multiple generations.

You're born as a baby to another player or as a young woman if no suitable mother is available. Every minute in real time equals one year in the game, with a maximum lifespan of 60 years. Although individual lives are limited, the accomplishments you make during your lifetime are passed down to your children and grandchildren. Strive to improve life for those who follow, allowing your family line to thrive for generations.

Sometimes you'll start alone in the wilderness, requiring you to build a fire for warmth and hunt rabbits for food and clothing. A sharp stone will be your trusted companion initially. Seek a suitable location to settle and grow food, as other players may soon arrive as your children, relying on you for care until they're old enough to contribute.

Other times, you'll be born in a thriving city, surrounded by farmers, cooks, blacksmiths, shepherds, and hunters. You'll have access to clothes and equipment prepared by players who may be your grandparents or distant relatives. You might gather friends to establish a new settlement, inherit a farm job from an uncle, or hunt bears and wolves. The possibilities are endless, but remember: unless you leave the world better than when you arrived, you haven't truly achieved anything.

Each life you play will connect you with new players, some more experienced, others less so. Some will guide you, while others will learn from you. A few might disrupt the civilization you're building, requiring you to address the issue. You and your fellow players will shape the world for a brief moment before the next generation takes over.

After your in-game life ends, you can view your family tree and see how your descendants are faring. Take pride in each younger relative who reaches adulthood and each new generation that follows, knowing you contributed to their success.

The 1.7.0 release introduced the Family Ties IAP, which adds observer mode and family chronicles. This feature is optional and not required to play the game.
